Ipswich and East Suffolk and West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Groups have been working closely with Suffolk County Council, to develop the Connect worker shadowing project.
The aim of the project is to provide staff from different organisations, with the opportunity to shadow colleagues from police, voluntary sector, NHS or social care.
The placement is required to be a minimum of two half day sessions consisting of a variety of the below experiences as appropriate:
• fly on the wall observer:
• Observe with some active involvement
There is no cost associated with the project as the individual shadowing at the practice would make their own travel arrangements. The same would apply to any member of your team who wished to undertake a shadowing placement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Suffolk practices to support the culture change required to move towards a fully integrated service delivery as well as exploring what opportunities are available for your own staff to shadow in different organisations as part of their continuing professional development.
