Local helpline available to support people with their COVID-19 vaccination booking

Most people who were vaccinated in February will already have received their second vaccination appointment, but for those who are unsure, the local health care system wants to check that everyone gets their appointment.

If you received your first COVID-19 vaccination on or before Valentine’s Day you should already have been invited for your second dose, but if you have misplaced it, are unsure, or in the rare occurrence you think you may not have received one, you are encouraged to contact the Suffolk and north east Essex vaccination helpline who can support you with booking your next appointment.

The vaccination helpline can be contacted on 0344 257 3961.

The helpline team will support those who have already received a first vaccination in mid-February or earlier at a GP practice or primary care network site, a large vaccination centre, local hospital or community pharmacy.

Lisa Nobes, director of nursing for the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System, said: “The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination continues to progress well and it’s certainly pleasing that so many people are getting protected. If you receive an invitation, whether for your first or second dose, please do act on it as soon as possible so that you can join the millions of others who are helping to protect themselves and others.

“Although most people will already have their second dose booked in, people who were vaccinated in mid-February or before are welcome to contact the helpline for assistance in making that booking. Although one dose provides very good protection against the virus, you need both doses to offer the very best protection to you and your family.”
