The Governing Body makes sure that the CCG runs effectively, efficiently, economically and with good governance.
It exists to serve patients, give confidence to the public, support clinicians and is accountable to NHS England.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr Ed Garratt is Accountable Officer for Ipswich & East Suffolk, West Suffolk and North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Groups. He is also the Executive Lead for the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) as well as lead commissioner of the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust.
Ed has a strong reputation for building system collaboration and integrated care. He has over 15 years’ experience of working in the NHS, has worked at regional level in commissioning and helped to develop the NHS Constitution. He also worked on the policy development associated with the government’s NHS reforms of 2012. Ed holds a doctorate from the University of Cambridge.
The Governing Body meets every two months in public. All meetings are on a Tuesday.
All meetings begin at 9.15 a.m. and you have the opportunity to meet with Governing Body members from 9.00 a.m.
