The organisation provides wheelchair accessible minibuses and car services for community groups and the general public.
CATS drivers, many of whom are volunteers, are specialists in supporting frail, elderly or mobility-impaired passengers and can provide a door to door service.
Its innovative Suffolk Links service – Aldeburgh, Blyth and Wilford – provides demand response transport free from route and timetable restriction.
All passengers must live in the local area and become a member, so please apply to your nearest community transport operator.

At our Ipswich centre, our footwear section includes comfort shoes and slippers, and we offer a range of personal care items.
The Ipswich centre also has range of larger items including riser recliner chairs, wheelchairs and scooters and accessories.
Crossroads can arrange for trained care assistants to come and look after a person who is frail, ill or disabled within their own home, for a few hours, daytime or evening.
Many of our customers come to us through other caring agencies as a result of our reputation as a friendly, reliable and trusted organisation.
We offer a variety of services to meet the needs of individual carers and the people they care for. However we are not just a home help or cleaning service and generally we do not provide a service for less than an hour at a time.

Our services are not free so it is useful to find out whether the person being referred is eligible for our core service or has the means to pay either privately or has a personal budget before referring them to us. Once we have received the referral, we will visit and do an assessment of need of the carer and person they care for, together with a risk assessment. We do not carry out any form of means testing. You can purchase a Crossroads Care service either by your own means or through a Personal Budget. The first step is to ask your local county council for a Community Care Assessment for the person with care needs and/or a Carer’s Assessment.

Brantham Ward EAU is a trolley/chair assessment area where all urgent or emergency medical and surgical patients are seen and assessed and a decision is made whether they need to stay in hospital.

Framlingham and Woodbridge Community Car Scheme. It provides vital transport for disadvantaged residents who are unable to use public transport and don't have a car in the family. Generally, journeys are made within the local areas of Framlingham, Woodbridge and surrounding villages, helping individuals to get around and attend important appointments.
Typical journeys are for hospital visits, shopping, visiting friends and family and social activities. The scheme is run entirely by volunteer drivers who use their own cars on a non-profit making basis. Passengers contribute on a mileage basis towards the cost of a journey.
Framlingham and Woodbridge Community Car Scheme is run by Community Action Suffolk.

Hadleigh Community Transport Group provides a door to door minibus service, with complete wheelchair access, for residents unable to use conventional bus services. A daily bus service also runs between Hadleigh and Manningtree linking up with mainline rail services.
The organisation also operates demand responsive transport to and from many surrounding parishes, including Lavenham and Bildeston, where no other transport is available.

The course is for anyone who has been diagnosed with osteoporosis – whether they have had a fracture or not. It runs weekly for four weeks in April and September, with approximately 30 patients per course. The first session is all about osteoporosis, what it means, the implications, how the medication works, healthy living etc. The second session is all about diet and osteoporosis. The third session is a local GP who talks about questions regarding osteoporosis and associated diseases and how to get the best from your GP. The last session is about safe exercise and balance, at this session the group promotes joining the local group for support

Lofty Heights provides a range of de-cluttering services within the home and garden. This can include anything from difficult to access areas within the home such as lofts through to small cluttered storage areas, hallways, stairs and landings, individual rooms or whole house de-clutters.
Cluttered living conditions contribute to trip, slips and falls and can exacerbate some long term health conditions particularly those affected by living in cold, damp, mouldy or dirty conditions.
We also de-clutter front and back gardens that have become overgrown, preventing safe and easy access to front and back doors, something that can cause fall hazards not only for the resident but also their visiting carers/support workers
To facilitate hospital discharge we will move furniture within the home to enable downstairs bedrooms to be created and hospital beds to be installed

Patients receive an initial assessment of 30 – 45 minutes depending on the area being treated. They then have 30 minute follow-up appointments. Generally patients have up to three follow-up appointments but this varies depending on the nature of the problem.

Over the past 3 years we have built a strong reputation for providing high quality services, delivered by a team of qualified professionals who are experts in this specialised field. Our work is concentrated on early intervention and prevention. By providing very timely information, advice and guidance, as well as rehabilitation and reablement programmes where needed, we are able to maintain or increase a person’s independence. The costs benefits of this approach can be compared to accident and falls prevention which lead to hospital admissions, as well as the need for more formal provision of care.
Sensing Change also deliver Sensory Awareness training to a wide range of health, social care and private and public sector services. This training can be tailor made to suit the organisations staff and customers. Delivered by professionals, this training enables participants to fully understand the impact that sight and/or hearing loss can have on a person’s life.

Our community health teams (CHTs) are made up of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and healthcare assistants.
They deliver holistic nursing and therapy services to our patients, along with both planned and unplanned care.
Senior members of the CHTs are responsible for making sure every patient receives the right care to meet their needs.
We work closely with other providers of care - GPs, the acute hospitals, social care, care agencies and care homes. voluntary organisations, hospices, Marie Curie and Macmillan,

We are committed to making sure all Family Carers are able to safely carry out a caring routine. Our occupational therapist will visit your home, free of charge, to show you how to safely move and handle the person you care for.
